What happens after you reach out

Call or use the form; either way, the first conversation is triage, not sales. We’ll ask what you’re seeing (a stain, storm damage, a quote you want checked, a commercial roof that needs an assessment) and route it honestly: active leaks and open roofs get priority scheduling, storm inspections get booked promptly because documentation ages, and everything else gets a scheduled window that respects your calendar. If what you describe doesn’t need a roofer, and sometimes it doesn’t, we’ll say that on the phone and save everyone the visit.

What to have ready (none of it required)

The call works fine with nothing but an address, but if you have them, these speed everything up: photos of what prompted the call (the ceiling stain, the shingles in the yard, the hail next to a coin), your roof’s rough age if you know it, any insurance paperwork if a claim is already moving, and for commercial buildings, roughly what’s under the roof so the assessment plan fits the operation. For inspection visits themselves you don’t need to prepare anything: we don’t need attic access cleared or ladders provided, and you don’t need to be on the roof with us. Being home is useful for the findings walkthrough but not mandatory; plenty of inspections deliver by phone and email with the photos attached.

Response expectations, stated plainly

Phone answers Monday through Saturday, 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM; the form routes to the same people and gets responses the same business day in most cases. Emergency situations (active water intrusion, storm-opened roofs) jump every queue we have, and the emergency page covers what to do while we’re en route. During major storm events response windows stretch for everyone in this market; we’ll tell you honestly where you are in the queue rather than promising windows we can’t hold.

Who to reach for what

Homeowners: free inspection, repair quote, replacement estimate, storm documentation. Any door works, the triage sorts it. Commercial owners and property managers: assessments, maintenance programs, and emergency response, with documentation formatted for your files. Builders and GCs: new-construction bids and takeoffs move fastest with plans attached to the form. Current customers: warranty questions come straight to the same number: the person who quoted your roof answers for it, which is rather the point of hiring a family company.

Before storm season: the two-minute version

The best first contact happens before anything is wrong. A pre-season inspection establishes your roof’s documented baseline (the file that turns a future hail claim from an argument into a page-flip), and it costs nothing. If you’re reading this page in calm weather, that’s the appointment to book: twenty minutes of our ladder time now is the strongest position you can hold when the radar lights up in April.

A note on how we don’t contact you

Reaching out to us starts a conversation, not a pressure campaign. We don’t run boiler-room follow-up sequences, we don’t sell your information (see the privacy policy), and if you tell us the timing isn’t right, we make a note and leave you alone until you say otherwise. We’d rather be the company you call back in six months than the one you regret giving your number to. The entire business is built on that trade.

The free inspection, step by step

Since most first contacts become inspections, here’s exactly what that looks like. Scheduling: we agree on a window that fits your day. You don’t need to prepare anything. On site: the inspector works the full system (roof surface, flashings, penetrations, ridge lines, gutters, and attic evidence where accessible), photographing as they go; most residential inspections run under an hour. The findings: written, photographed, and walked through with you if you’re home, delivered by phone and email if you’re not. You’ll get one of four honest verdicts: the roof is fine (documented, useful for your insurance file), monitor these items (with photos establishing the baseline), repair recommended (with a written scope and price), or replacement conversation warranted (with the evidence that says so). After: no follow-up pressure campaign: the findings are yours, the decision is yours, and the timeline is yours.

Every door into the company

All roads lead to the same triage, but for the record: free inspections for the diagnosis, repair and replacement for the fixes, storm restoration when weather writes the schedule, the commercial side for buildings, and the guides if you’d rather read before you talk. Wherever you start, the standards are identical: written findings, honest advice, and no pressure at any step.

We come to you: there’s no shop to visit

Mastercraft Roofing is a service-area business: crews, ladders, and inspections travel to your property, and there’s no walk-in showroom or office counter. Everything a visit would accomplish happens where it’s actually useful: on your roof, in your driveway, or over the phone with your findings and photos in hand. Samples come to estimates when material decisions call for them. If you need to send us something physical (plans, documents), mention it on the call and we’ll arrange it.

Common questions

Do you charge for estimates or inspections?

No: inspections are free and documented with written, photographed findings, and estimates are free written scopes. "Your roof is fine" is a result we deliver regularly, at the same price.

Do I need to be home for the inspection?

Helpful for the findings walkthrough, not required. We don't need interior access for most inspections, and plenty of findings deliver by phone and email with photos attached.

How fast do you respond to emergencies?

Active water intrusion and open roofs jump every queue we have. Call rather than using the form for emergencies. During major storm events we'll tell you honestly where you stand in the queue rather than promising windows we can't hold.

What areas do you serve?

The DFW metroplex: Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton counties at the core, extending across roughly 150 cities and towns. The full list is on our service-areas page; if you're near it, ask.
