RECENT WORK

Recent work, straight off our crews’ phones.

Every shot below is a Mastercraft crew on a real DFW roof. These are our own jobs, not stock photography. This is what the process actually looks like.

From the drone One of our crews mid tear-off. Sections stripped, checked, and closed in sequence while tarps catch every nail below.

A note from the family

We built Mastercraft to be the roofer we couldn't find when it mattered.

Every storm season, the metroplex fills with door-knockers and deductible "deals" that break Texas law. Tony Rahil started Mastercraft in 2023 as the counter-offer: a family business that documents everything, follows the insurance rules to the letter, and plans to answer the phone in year four when the warranty question comes.

Every job, from a pipe boot to a full commercial replacement, runs under our family's direct involvement: written findings before any work, materials named by manufacturer and grade, and a 5-year workmanship warranty we sign our name to. That name is our reputation in the community where we actually live.

WARRANTY

Warranted in writing. Both layers.

5-year workmanship warranty
  • Every installation, in writing
  • Transferable if you sell the home
  • Covers the installation workmanship itself
  • We service it ourselves, so call us first
Manufacturer warranty
  • CertainTeed & GAF systems, our primary lines
  • Typically 30–40 years limited on shingles
  • Registered for you at completion
  • Covers product defects, not weather

Storm and weather damage is excluded from every roofing warranty in the industry. Homeowner insurance covers it, and we document storm damage properly when it happens.

HOW WE WORK

Three things we put in writing on every job.

Free inspections, written findings

Every inspection is documented with photos and delivered in writing. "Your roof is fine" is a result we deliver regularly.

5-year transferable warranty

Workmanship warranted in writing for five years, and it follows the home if you sell.

No door-knockers, no deductible games

We don't canvass after storms, and we never touch your deductible. Texas law prohibits it, and so do we.

How the payment side works.

Most DFW replacements are insurance-funded storm claims: the carrier covers the loss and your out-of-pocket is typically the deductible plus chosen upgrades.

  • Written, itemized estimates before any work begins
  • Deductible payment plan: full amount, spread over a schedule
  • No deductible waivers, ever: Texas law prohibits them

Payment plan terms agreed in writing. Texas Insurance Code Chapter 707 prohibits waiving, absorbing, or rebating deductibles. The plan changes timing, never the amount. Payment options →

QUESTIONS

Common questions for DFW.

Do you handle both residential and commercial roofing?

Yes. Both, as separate disciplines. Residential runs from asphalt through metal, tile, cedar, and synthetics; commercial covers TPO, EPDM, PVC, coatings, and preventive maintenance programs across the metroplex.

Is the roof inspection really free?

Yes. We inspect, photograph, and document the roof at no charge and deliver written findings. No obligation follows, and "your roof is fine" is a result we deliver regularly.

What warranty comes with a new roof?

Two layers: our 5-year written workmanship warranty (transferable if you sell) plus the manufacturer warranty on materials (we primarily install CertainTeed and GAF, typically 30–40 years limited on shingles).

Do you work with insurance claims?

We document damage with photos, provide written estimates, and meet your adjuster on-site. We are not a public adjuster and never touch your deductible; Texas law prohibits waiving it, and our deductible payment plan spreads the timing, never the amount.

DFW CONTEXT

Roofing the metroplex, honestly.

Mastercraft Roofing works the whole Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex: Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton counties, from the anchor cities out through roughly 150 towns and communities. The office dispatches local crews across the footprint, and every job runs on the same discipline: written findings, itemized estimates, permits handled where the city requires them.

Hail, wind, and the DFW roofing reality

North Texas sits in the most hail-active corridor in the country. Most roofs here don't age out. They get taken out, by hail or by the straight-line winds that run ahead of spring storm fronts. That reality shapes everything on this site: why Class 4 impact-rated shingles earn insurance discounts from many Texas carriers, why storm restoration is a documented legal process rather than a handshake, and why the roofer's job includes protecting your claim with professional evidence.

Permits and code across DFW cities

There is no single DFW permit office. Every city runs its own building department, its own fee schedule, and its own inspection sequence, layered on the IRC code year each has adopted. Part of what you hire us for is knowing the difference: which cities require permits for re-roofs, who pulls them (we do), and how each city's inspection timing fits the job schedule.

Residential and commercial, as separate disciplines

The two sides of this company share standards, not shortcuts. Residential work runs from architectural asphalt (including the Class 4 impact-rated shingles many Texas carriers discount premiums for) through metal, tile, cedar, and premium composite systems, each with its own crews and installation discipline. Commercial work is its own trade entirely: TPO and membrane systems, restoration coatings gated by moisture surveys, flat-roof leak tracing with instruments instead of guesswork, and the twice-yearly maintenance programs that keep buildings off the emergency calendar. What carries across both: written findings before any work, itemized scopes, permits handled city by city, and the documentation habits that make insurance claims an evidence conversation instead of an argument. Whether the address is a three-bedroom in Garland or a distribution center in Alliance, the file looks the same, because the standard is. Pick the service that fits your situation above, or start with the free inspection and let the findings route you.

What we tell every DFW customer

Get the inspection before you make any decision. It's free, and the findings are yours either way. Never sign anything at your door after a storm. Never let anyone "handle" your deductible. Texas law requires you to pay it, and contractors offering to waive it are committing a crime, and putting your claim at risk. And keep both warranty documents when the job is done: our written 5-year workmanship warranty and your manufacturer registration.
