Mastercraft Roofing is owned and run by Tony Rahil, the kind of company where the person whose name is on the warranty is the person who answers for the work. Founded in 2023, the business has grown the slow way: job by job, referral by referral, across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.

Why this company exists

DFW roofing has an earned reputation problem. Every hail season imports a wave of out-of-town storm operations: door-knockers, deductible “deals” that violate Texas law, warranties from companies that dissolve by winter. Mastercraft was started as the counter-offer: a local, family-owned shop that documents everything, follows the insurance rules to the letter, and plans to be at the same phone number when your warranty question shows up in year four.

How the family runs a job

Every project, from a pipe-boot swap to a full commercial replacement, runs the same discipline, because discipline is the product. Written findings with photos before any work. An itemized scope in plain language, with materials named by manufacturer and grade. Permits pulled where the city requires them. Local crews matched to the roofing system being installed. A magnetic sweep of your yard and a clean site at the end. And the paperwork package at closeout: manufacturer warranty registration plus our written 5-year workmanship warranty, transferable if you sell, because a promise that dies at the closing table wasn’t much of a promise.

What we install, and why

Most of our residential work is CertainTeed and GAF architectural systems, including the Class 4 impact-rated lines that many Texas carriers discount premiums for. In this hail corridor, that’s usually the smartest money on the menu. The premium tier runs stone-coated steel, composite slate, and engineered shake for the homes and owners that call for them. Commercial work covers TPO, membrane systems, coatings, and the maintenance programs that keep buildings off the emergency calendar. What we don’t do: pressure, door-to-door storm sales, deductible games, or a roof you don’t need. “Your roof is fine” is a sentence this family says regularly, in writing.

Where we work

The whole metroplex: Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton counties at the core, extending through roughly 150 cities and towns from Weatherford to Greenville, Celina to Waxahachie. Local enough to show up, structured enough to cover the footprint.

How we choose the crews on your roof

Plain talk about an industry reality: like most DFW roofing companies, we work with specialized local installation crews rather than one in-house crew doing every system. A tile roof and a TPO roof are different trades, and pretending one crew masters both is how roofs get worse. What makes the model work is what stays constant: our specification, our supervision, our documentation, and our written warranty on every job regardless of who swings the hammer. Crews earn their place by their work and keep it by their standards (show up as scheduled, install to spec, respect the property, pass our punch walk), and they lose it the first time a shortcut shows up in our documentation. Accountability never subcontracts.

What family-owned means in practice

It isn’t a marketing word here; it’s an org chart. The people who own this company review the jobs, sign the warranties, and take the year-four phone calls. There’s no regional office to escalate past, no franchise playbook overriding judgment, and no quarterly pressure to hit storm numbers with door-knockers. It also means the company’s name is the family’s reputation in the community where the family actually lives. In a market full of LLCs that dissolve at the first warranty claim, that is the most enforceable guarantee a roofing customer can hold.

Talk to us directly

Questions about a quote, a concern mid-job, a warranty issue, or feedback the crew should hear all land in the same place: the phone number on this site rings the company, not a call center. If something about your Mastercraft experience deserves ownership attention, it gets it. That’s the entire point of the structure.

The DFW roots

This is home. The family lives here, the kids’ schools are here, and the company’s reputation is spent or earned at the same grocery stores and ballfields as everyone else’s. That geography is the quiet enforcement mechanism behind everything on this page: a storm operation can afford a bad roof in a town it’s leaving; a local family business cannot. It’s also why the service area is what it is: the whole metroplex, but genuinely the metroplex, where crews can be on a roof within the hour and the owner can stand in your driveway if a job ever needs it.

What we’re asked most

Three questions come up in almost every driveway conversation, so here are the answers in writing. “Are you going to be around in five years?” The honest version: three years in, growing on referrals, zero storm-season hiring sprees, and a business model built on maintenance relationships and warranty service rather than one-time storm volume; everything about the structure is chosen for durability over speed. “Why should I trust a young company?” Don’t, on words. Trust the paper: insurance certificates, itemized scopes, permits, both warranties, all checkable before you owe us anything. “What if you’re wrong about my roof?” Then the written findings give you exactly what you need to get a second opinion, which we’d genuinely rather you get than sign unsure. The company that fears your second opinion is telling you what it thinks the second opinion will say.

When photos and names land here

This page will grow faces, names, and crew photos as we finish gathering them, because a family business should look like one, and it will. What won’t change is the structure underneath: owner accountability, written standards, and a phone number that reaches people with authority to fix things. If you need that today, don’t wait for the photos: (469) 405-7870.

The promise that survives this page

Websites say things; jobs prove them. Everything on this page reduces to one testable promise: the standards will be identical whether your job is a small repair or the largest replacement on the block, and the people accountable for that promise are reachable at the number on this site before the contract, during the job, and in year four when the warranty question arrives. Family businesses live and die on exactly that sentence. We intend to live on it, one documented roof at a time, across every city in the metroplex we call home.

Meet us the easy way

The best introduction to this family’s work isn’t this page. It’s a free inspection. You’ll see the documentation style, the straight talk, and the no-pressure posture firsthand, on your own roof, at zero cost and zero obligation. If what you see matches what this page promises, that’s your answer about us. If it doesn’t, that’s your answer too, and either way you’ll hold written findings worth having. That’s how a company that plans to be here in twenty years introduces itself.
